Ravings about "C is For Conquer"

Inspiring!

The strength and resilience of cancer survivors always amazes me, and author Bobbi Sudberry is certainly no exception. But she so much more than a survivor... she is, indeed, a conquerer.

In "C is for Conquer," she takes us through a harrowing (yet somehow hopeful) journey of unfathomable loss, cancer treatments, and the courageous fight back to mental and physical restoration.  Her willingness to share this process so candidly during a time of great hardship speaks of the immense love, determination, and generosity that are her core.

I highly recommend this book to cancer patients, survivors in general, and anyone in persuit of better overall health. There are many useful tidbits and tools throughout that can benefit all of us. I didn't want to put this one down!

I enjoyed reading "C is for Conquer." The authors honest account of her experience will surely help others understand and appreciate that they are not alone.

I am an avid reader of fiction mostly. In my vocation I have to read and analyze all day. In my reading for fun I want it to be just that FUN! That said I'm not much into reading biographies, self help books, nonficiton, just give me the main points that I can apply and let's move on. Although, I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED "C IS FOR CONQUER!" Funny, informative, practical, down to earth. The author talked about the beginning to end but with some lightheartedness during some "poopy or "non-poopy" painful sufferings emotionally and physically, LOL have to read the book to get it. The information provided is helpful for facing cancer and for dealing with life. This book is a keeper!

The Bobbi in this book, is the Bobbi I know and love in real life. She's as genuine as it comes. Her and her husband Ric are truly wonderful people. My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer 2 1/2 years ago; Bobbi and Ric's testimony has inspired and encouraged myself and my wife to keep fighting and never give up. I highly recommend reading "C is for Conquer" and hope that this book blesses others the way it has blessed me. Thanks Bobbi!

The opening of the book jolts you. Author Sudberry shares the moments she was diagnosed with breast Cancer, then we learn that preceding Cancer, her 17 year old daughter was murdered by her ex boyfriend and her sister died unexpectedly in her car...these events rocked her soul.

Yes, C is for Conquer which she did on all fronts, however Courage and Crazy fun to read came to mind for me. This heroic woman has a heart of gold and a sense of humour that brought a lightness to such dark topics and kept me engaged.

What I loved the most was the ending where after kicking Cancer, she decided to research, research, research and find a conclusion as to why she got Cancer in the first place. This learning was powerful and if you let it, this book may just save your life from a critical illness.

This past week I had the pleasure of reading Bobbi Sudberry’s book entitled, “C is for Conquer – Moving from Surviving to THRIVING.” I encourage anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer to read this incredible account of one person’s fight with this deadly disease. Bobbi shows us in so many ways how to navigate the troubled stormy waters of cancer and live to fulfill the work of Kaity’s Way. The principles of her journey could also be applied to any situation that threatens to defeat someone.

Laugh, Cry and laugh some more... This book will strengthen all readers and change many lives! With its inspired guidance, it will most likely become a best seller for many to cherish. The author will not be able to take credit as I felt it was GOD inspired, but I hope she will continue to write more, we certainly need it. It can only be compared to the writings of Victor Villasenor, Rudolpho Anaya or Ben K. Green.

Inspiring, insightful, hopeful and helpful is what comes to mind after reading “C is for Conquer.” I never knew cancer could be so debilitating as I have never really dealt with cancer directly or indirectly. “C is for Conquer” gave me a new perspective on numerous levels: the patient, those that love them, caregivers and practitioners. It is comical at times, but it appears to me the author used humor to cope. Watch those toilet seat covers, they can come out of nowhere. What really stood out for me is how well the author advocated for herself. I really liked how she stood her ground when necessary. I applaud her strength and hope others can draw the same from “C is for Conquer.” I had always been one to just do what the doctor says without question, not any more. “C is for Conquer” isn’t just for people dealing with cancer it is for anyone dealing with a challenging illness. You can apply the lessons in “C is for Conquer” to any challenging situation you may encounter. An enjoyable, eye opening read and this is coming from someone that is not so much into reading.

"C" for Conquer is a devotional tale to offer hope to anyone who is navigating the obstacles of life. Bobbi guides you thru a raw experience with grief. The tragic loss of her daughter and a life and death cancer scare. Her will to live demonstrates courage and hope as she maintains her humor thru such a trying time. This story is an invaluable first hand accounts of surgery, chemo, radiation all while making her way towards healing. She uses her voice and advocacy to take her life into her own hands. Her words made me laugh, cry and contemplate some of life's big questions. Bobbi reminds us to see the true value of the moments that make life worth living. I know it will touch hearts and inspire wisdom to every soul who reads it.
