They Are Here!!!!
Yes, the books are here!!! "C is For Conquer" has arrived!!!
It is hard to describe what I am feeling at this very moment..... It is similar to bringing a child into this world. The idea and writing of it was like the pregnancy. You prepare, nurture and create it. Do everything in your power to make sure it is healthy and has the best start in life. The publisher, Morgan James Publishing, in this case is like the Doctor delivering your baby. They help you prepare and line things up for its arrival. You check in with them from time to time to make sure things are going well and you're on schedule. Then comes the delivery date and something you spent weeks, maybe months or years on is now in your hot little hands to share with the world!
Ahhhhh, but just like with a child, this is when the real work begins. You are now responsible for creating the buzz around the book and helping people become aware of its existence. For someone like me that is not an easy task, but I have never been one to turn down a good challenge. On the flip side, I am one to go with the flow and flowing is what "C is for Conquer" does. Just like Kaity's Way it has taken on a life of its own, but only when the time was right. In 2011 I thought I had finished "C is for Conquer." I discussed it with another author, Elin Stebbins Waldal, "Tornado Warning," a must read, she being the sincere person she is told me that the market at that time had been so saturated with cancer survivor books that they were not moving well. I'll be honest, it stung a little bit to hear that, but I saw it as a sign or message to hold up for a moment. So I did and I am really glad I did.
Taking that pause helped me realize that there was much more to recovery then what I initially thought, so I had a lot more great content for my book once I picked it back up again. Also, I think Karma appreciated my patience as it seems that things are taking off at a manageable pace. This is very important for me, because things growing too fast can bring on unnecessary issues. Don't want our babies growing up too fast.... When things move to fast, things can get chaotic and complex. Going with the flow, keeps it basic and a positive experience. I elect for the later.
Next step is to get my TPT License to sell. Yeah, those taxes have to be paid. It cost me $62.00 and the system was so glitchy that it took three times going through the system to get it to go. Kind of frustrating, but not a downer because I am too far up!!! So in the words of my Dad, "there you have it." He says that when he is done talking, makes me laugh when I think about it.... Until next time, Take Care and Have a Wonderful Week!
